How to install 2GIS

Installing and updating

2GIS consists of a shell (the app) and the city maps. First you need to install the shell and then download the maps of the cities you need.

  1. Open the App Store on your phone, enter “2GIS” in the search bar, select it and click “Install”.
  2. When you first start the app it will offer you to download the map of the city where you are situated, or will start the automatical downloading of maps (to stop downloading, click “Cancel”). Wait until the maps are downloaded.

  3. To download more cities, go to the sidebar menu → “List of cities” or click on the icon with the symbol of the city → “Cities”.
  4. Select the desired city and wait till the data are downloaded.
