How 2GIS selects the routes by car

For car routes 2GIS selects a maximum of two travel options: in the online version it will be the fastest and the shortest route and in the mobile apps — two fastest ones.

Selecting the travel options, 2GIS takes into account:

• the traffic jams, if this feature is implemented in 2GIS for this city, and if the device is connected to the Internet;
• the presence of traffic lights;
• the road capacity (freeway, wide or narrow street, unpaved road);
• the statistics on the average flow speed at each road section at a particular time.
